VARIED MENU OF ACTIVITIES

A varied menu of activities to be on offer such as homework clubs and study support, sport (for at least two hours a week beyond the school day for those who want it), music tuition, dance and drama, arts and crafts, special interest clubs, learning a foreign language, volunteering, business and enterprise activities.

  • To support and extend the establishment and maintenance of enrichment activities.
  • To develop the role of the SSCO to facilitate an increase in the opportunities for a greater variety of enrichment activities for our students.
  • To provide Extended Service activities according to local need.
  • To ensure all activities/clubs are inclusive and available to all our students.
  • To develop provision so that 75% of students receive at least 2 hours of PE a week in KS4 within or beyond the curriculum.
  • To liaise with local partners to assist in developing an offer of two hours of out-of-school PE for those students who want it.
  • To provide or signpost crèche support for adult learning where needed.
  • To develop an International dimension to the activities offered as part of our Extended Schools provision.
